Liebe Leser,
die folgenden Worte von Jesse Livermore haben meinen Trading-Stil mehr geprägt als jeder andere Einfluss. Es war folgende Stelle in Jesse Livermore’s Buch “HOW TO TRADE IN STOCKS”, die mich dazu gebracht hat mein Pivotal Point Prinzip zu entwickeln.
“Whenever I have had the patience to wait for the market to arive at what i call a “Pivotal Point” before I started to trade, I have always made money in my operations. Why? Because I then commenced my play just at the psychological time at the beginning of a move. I never had a loss to worry about for the simpule reason that i acted promptly and started to accumulate my line right at the time my guide told me to do so. All I had to do thereafter was just sit tight and let the market run its course, knowing if I did so, the action oft the market itself would give me in due time the signal to take my profits. And whenever I had the nerve and the patience to wait for the signal, it invariably did just that. It has always been my experience that I never benefited much from a move if I did not get in at somewhere near the beginning of that move. And the reason is that I missed the backlog of profit which is very necessary to provide the courage and patience to sit through a move unteil the end comes – and to stay through any minor reactions or rallies which were bound to occur from time to time before the movement had completed its course”
In diesen Worten stecken so viel Weisheit und so viel Trading-Erfahrung und dieser Ansatz widerspricht dem was man heute in der Trading-Literatur liest. In modernen Büchern steht geschrieben man müsse nicht am Anfang einer Trendbewegung dabei sein, man könne warten bis sich ein Trend entwickelt hat und so weiter. Aber Tatsache ist, und das hat Jesse Livermore in seinem Trader-Leben oft genug erfahren müssen dass der Gewinnpuffer eines Trades nur dann groß genug war, um die ganzen heftigen Korrekturen mit Geduld durchzustehen, wenn es ihm gelang, schon zu Beginn einer Bewegung investiert zu sein. Jesse hatte einen Trading-Stil, bei dem es nicht darum ging 10% zu verdienen, sondern bei dem es darum ging aus wenig Geld ein gigantisches Vermögen-s aufzubauen. Jesse steckte manchmal nahezu sein gesamtes Kapital in eine Position und stieg so aus dem Nichts zu einem der reichsten Männer der USA auf. Auch das traurige Ende seiner Karriere ist bekannt, aber das soll seine Genialität nicht weiter schmälern…
